Service/Rates:
My technique of photojournalism will capture your moment in time naturally. I shoot exclusively in digital format, and because I work alone, I always have backup equipment with me.
If you are getting portraits taken, I will meet with you at your home or at a location of your choosing (i.e. a natural setting like a park or an orchard). It is preferable to work with natural light in either the morning or late afternoon. If you cannot think of a location for the portrait, I am happy to offer suggestions. Photographs turn out best when you dress in clothes you feel comfortable in. It is also important to choose clothing that complements the setting you choose. For example, casual clothing looks great for portraits taken in the woods. I will work with you to help you choose what to wear. I also recommend avoiding clothes with stripes, checkered patterns, and clothing with printed words.
When shooting an event such as a wedding or a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, I will meet with you in advance to discuss when it is best to take the portraits. For weddings, I am available to take pictures of the bride and groom either in advance or after the ceremony. For Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, if the synagogue does not allow pictures on the day of the ceremony, I will meet you a few days before the event to shoot portraits. We will have planning meetings in advance of any event to fully discuss any special considerations or requests you may have. I will stay up to nine hours on the day of your event. With regard to my attire, I will wear something that is appropriate for your type of event.
Pricing:
Events start at $1,400 and portraits begin at $250.
I will have proofs of your photographs in approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the shoot. For both events and portraits you will receive a hard copy all of the proofs in an album as well as a CD-ROM of your images.
